We Believe

CHRIST JESUS EVANGELISTIC CHURCH, INC.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

THE SCRIPTURES

We believe that the Bible is the correct, unerring and infallible Word of God, written by men divinely inspired by God, and it is profitable for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, according to 2  Timothy, 3-16.  We also believe that the beginning of all things began in Genesis 1:1, that all things began then, and nothing existed prior to then, nor did anything die prior to that, but Adam’s sin was the "cause" of all death, decay and sickness in our solar system.

GOD

We believe that there is one God, as it is written in  Deut 6-4, Hear, O Israel:  The Lord our God is one Lord.  Also, Isaiah 44-6:  Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts;  I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.  We believe that the Godhead is a triunity, but all three are one, and Jesus himself is God, according to John 1:1, John 10:30, John 14:9, Isaiah 9:6, 1Timothy 1 to 17, Rev 4:11.

THE NEW BIRTH/SALVATION

We believe that you must be born again to enter the kingdom of God (John 3:3-5).

We believe that salvation is the total work of God, by grace and that men and women are elected to salvation by God.  We believe that regeneration occurs at the sovereign will of God, without any assistance from the person, and that nothing in the person is the reason for their regeneration, other than their being predestined by God (1 Peter 1:3).  We believe that man is spiritually totally depraved because of our fall in Adam, which rendered us dead in sin, according to Ephesians 2:1 and we must be quickened by God to a spiritual awakening first, and whereby, we are able to see and enter the kingdom of God (John 3:3-5, Ephesians 2:1).

THE CHRISTIAN COMMITMENT

We believe that salvation is eternal and it is not contingent on our conduct or faithfulness, nevertheless, our love for God and the scriptures compel us to a life of purity and virtue according to 2 Peter 1:5-7 and Hebrew 6:1:therefore, leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection.  We believe that love is the perfection of God, according to 1 John 4:8.  According to Matthew 22:37 to 39 Jesus said, thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all they soul, and with all thy mind.  This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like unto it.  Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.  John 13:34-35 says: A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.  By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.  In conjunction with love, we believe that one must live a holy and sanctified life, according to Hebrews 12:14 and 1 Peter 1:16.  And adding to our commitment to love, 1 Cor 1:10 -13 and 1 Cor 12:27-31.  In completion, we add the entire chapter of 1 Cor 13.

GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT

We believe in all of the gifts of the Spirit but only as they are channeled by the sound doctrine of scripture, according to 1 Cor 12:1-11, Romans 12:3-8 and 1 Peter 4:10.
